Why isn't my job showing up in my tracker?

Every scan is filed on a tracker automatically. If you cannot see one, it is nearly always the screen you are on or the tracker you are looking at.

Every scan you run is filed on a tracker. The Job Tracker and Tracker List dropdowns in the job step come pre-filled with your first tracker and its first list, so a job lands somewhere even if you never touch them.

That means a job you cannot see is nearly always a job you are looking at the wrong screen for. Work down this list in order, since the causes are roughly in order of how often they turn out to be the answer.

You are on a phone

The tracker sidebar appears at tablet width and above, so on a phone there is nothing to look at even when the job is filed correctly. Open the same account on a desktop or a tablet and the tracker will be there.

This is the most common cause by a distance, and nothing is wrong with your job.

You are looking at a different tracker

If you have more than one tracker, each one is a separate entry under Job Trackers in the sidebar, and your job is on exactly one of them. Creating a second tracker and then losing track of which one you were filing into is an easy thing to do.

Check the other trackers before assuming the job is gone.

It is in a different list than you expected

The list dropdown defaults to the first list in the tracker, which is WATCHLIST on the tracker created for you at signup. If you meant to file something under APPLIED and left the dropdown alone, that is where it went, because the default does not follow your intentions.

Read across the whole tracker rather than the one list you had in mind.

The tracker you chose has no lists in it

Every tracker starts with six lists, so this one only comes up if you have deleted all of them, and a tracker with no lists has nowhere to put a job.

The list dropdown says so at the time, with either No lists found in the selected tracker. Please create a list first. or No lists available. Add a list, then run the scan.

The job was deleted

Deleting a job removes the card straight away, and the confirmation warns you first: You will not be able to recover this scan.

Move jobs you have finished with to NOT SELECTED or OTHER instead of deleting them, and you keep both the record and the match report.

Still missing?

Check Job Scans next. Every scan you have run is listed there with its match report, whether or not you can find its card on a tracker. If the scan is in that list your work is safe and it is the tracker view that needs hunting through.

If it is not in Job Scans either, the scan did not complete. See Why did my scan fail, or why is it stuck?.

For anything else, email support@skillsyncer.com with the job title and roughly when you ran it, and we can find it from there.
