Full Rewrite

Full Rewrite costs 5 credits, takes about 40 to 60 seconds, and works from a job scan, so run the scan first.

It rewrites the wording across your resume to match one specific posting, and unlike Keyword Boost it can add new bullet points where an entry is thin. The card describes it as: "Rewrites your content and may add new bullet points to better align with the job description."

Once a scan exists, the card names the role it is aimed at, which is worth a look if you keep several scans on one resume and want to be sure you are tailoring for the right one.

What it changes

• Your professional summary
• Every bullet and summary on work experience, projects, volunteering, and education
• It can add new bullets to work entries that have room for them

New bullets are marked New Bullet in the review flow, and they have no "before" side to compare against because there was nothing there to rewrite.

What it never touches

• Your skills list. It is held back before the rewrite and restored afterwards, so the list you curated comes through untouched.
• Your name and contact details.
• Job titles, company names, dates, education entries, and certifications. The core facts of your history stay exactly as you entered them, because those are the parts a recruiter can check.

Where to find it

In the resume builder, open the AI tab in the right-hand panel and look under Job Tailoring.

It is also in the Optimize dropdown next to Create Scan, which creates the scan and starts the rewrite in one step, so you can go from a job posting to a tailored draft without stopping in between.

Why the card is locked

No job scan yet. The tooltip reads "Create a job scan to use this feature." Full Rewrite tailors toward one posting, so it has nothing to aim at until a scan gives it one.

Unsaved changes. On a Free account you are asked to save and rescore before running an AI tool, so the rewrite works on the current text rather than an older copy. The alert is Unsaved Changes, and its Save & Rescore button does both in one press.

No experience to work on. The alert is Missing Proper Data. Add at least one work experience, project, or volunteering entry, since bullets are what this tool rewrites.

Full Rewrite or Keyword Boost

Full Rewrite is the heavier of the two: more credits, more time, and more changes to read at the end. Use it when the writing itself needs work, or when the scan is showing gaps that none of your existing bullets cover, since it is the only one of the pair that can write something new.

If your bullets are already close to the mark and you only want this job's vocabulary in them, Keyword Boost costs 3 credits, runs faster, and leaves your resume the same length.

Reviewing what comes back

Expect more suggestions than Keyword Boost produces, since Full Rewrite is changing more of the resume. Each one is shown against your current wording for you to accept, edit, or reject individually, and nothing reaches your resume until you accept it. See Reviewing AI suggestions.
