Can I use SkillSyncer in another language?

Not yet. SkillSyncer is English only, and a resume in another language is read as though it were English, which is worth knowing before you upload one.

No. SkillSyncer is English only today. The interface is English throughout, and there is no language setting to change.

What happens if your resume is in another language

A resume in another language uploads and parses without erroring, and that is the part worth knowing, because a quiet, thin result is easier to miss than an outright failure.

Everything that reads your resume is tuned for English:

  • Section detection looks for English headings such as Skills, Technical Skills, and Core Competencies. A resume headed Compétences or Fähigkeiten has no heading we recognize, so those sections can come back empty.
  • Keyword matching in a scan compares your words against the words in the job posting. Matching a French resume to an English posting finds very little.
  • The AI tools rewrite in English, whatever language they were handed.

So if your sections come back empty or your match score looks impossibly low after uploading a resume in another language, the language is almost always the reason rather than anything about the resume itself.

What to do instead

If you are applying to English-language roles, work from an English version of your resume. That is what the scoring, the checks, and the AI tools are built for, and it is the version an employer's ATS will be reading anyway.

If you are applying in another language, SkillSyncer is not the right tool for that yet, and we would rather say so than take up your time.

British or American spelling

Both are supported, and you do not have to choose between them.

When an AI tool rewrites your text, we look at how your own resume is already spelled. If it reads British in at least two places, the rewrite keeps British spelling, and otherwise it comes back American, so the copy you get matches the copy you wrote.

Two tools always write American regardless of that: the Bullet Point Generator and the bullet examples shown alongside it. If you write British English, give the spelling a second look on anything those two produce.

Will other languages be supported?

We do not have a date to share, and offering one would be guessing.
