Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Two things are worth doing first, and this is exactly what is removed when you confirm.

We read .doc, .docx, .pdf, and .txt files up to 10MB. Here is what to do when your resume is not one of those, or is bigger than that.

Supported file types and size limits

Not yet. SkillSyncer is English only, and a resume in another language is read as though it were English, which is worth knowing before you upload one.

Can I use SkillSyncer in another language?

When something does not work: uploads, scans, exports, payments, and signing in.

Smart Scan builds your resume here in our resume builder. Classic Scan is for when you do not want to use it. Both run the same analysis and cost the same.

Should I use a Smart Scan or a Classic Scan?

Fill in the job posting, pick a resume, press Create Scan. The scan itself returns in a few seconds.

Creating a new scan

Paste a job posting URL and we fill in the title, company, and description for you. Works on over 100 job boards, and there is a fallback when a site blocks us.

Importing a job from a URL

The match score is 100 points split five ways: hard skills 60, soft skills 15, other keywords 5, job title 10, degree 10. With a worked example.

Exclude a keyword to take it out of scoring entirely. Exclusions are global, they re-scan only the scan you are looking at, and removing one re-scans nothing.
