What the Job Tracker does

The Job Tracker keeps every job you have scanned in one place, grouped by how far along you are. It is free, unlimited, and shows your match score on every job.

Every job you scan can sit on a tracker, which puts the roles you are chasing and the match score for each one on a single screen instead of spread across a spreadsheet, your inbox, and 14 browser tabs. Open a tracker from Job Trackers in the left sidebar.

What you see on a tracker

A tracker is a row of lists, and each list holds the jobs you have put in it. A new account starts with one tracker called My First Tracker and six lists that follow a search from first sighting to outcome: WATCHLIST, APPLIED, INTERVIEW, OFFER, NOT SELECTED, and OTHER.

Each list header shows its icon, its name, and a count of the jobs inside it. The order of the lists is yours to change, and so are the names and the icons, so you can shape a tracker around whatever your process actually looks like. See Trackers, lists, and jobs.

What a job shows at a glance

Every job on a tracker is a card carrying:

  • The company logo, when we could find one.
  • The job title and company name. If either is blank, the card shows a gray + Add Job Title or + Add Company Name prompt instead.
  • The match score as a colored percentage badge: green at 80 and above, blue at 70, yellow at 60, orange at 50, and red below 50.
  • When the job was added, as a relative date. Hover it for the exact timestamp.

Click a card to open its details, where you can edit the job title, company, job posting URL and job description, and add as many notes and dates as you want. That is where the context of an application lives, so the recruiter's name and the date of a phone screen sit on the job itself rather than in your inbox.

Free and unlimited

The Job Tracker is included on every plan, Premium or not, so you can create as many trackers as you like, with as many lists as you like, holding as many jobs as you like.

Scanning is the metered part of the product and tracking is not. A job on your tracker is a scan you have already run, which means keeping it, moving it, and annotating it cost you nothing from then on.

Where the Job Tracker lives

The tracker sidebar appears on desktop and tablet sized screens, since a row of lists you drag cards between needs the width to work. Open your account on one of those rather than a phone.

A few practical notes

  • Keep finished applications rather than deleting them. Move a job you have heard back on to NOT SELECTED or OTHER and it stays searchable, which matters when a company comes back to you months later. Deleting removes the scan itself, and the confirmation says so: You will not be able to recover this scan.
  • Record salary in a note on the job, alongside anything else you want to remember when you are comparing two offers.
  • Choose the list when you create the scan, because that is the moment a job joins a tracker. See Adding a job to your tracker, or Why isn't my job showing up in my tracker? if one is missing.
