Improve Resume Quality
A Premium tool that fixes weak verbs, filler words, and bullets missing numbers across your whole resume, for 5 credits in about 20 to 40 seconds.
Improve Resume Quality is a Premium tool. The card carries a Premium feature only badge on Free accounts.
Improve Resume Quality costs 5 credits and takes about 20 to 40 seconds. It is the one AI tool that does not need a job scan, so you can run it on a resume well before you have a specific job in mind.
What it fixes is the writing itself: weak verbs, filler words, and bullets that describe work without any numbers attached to it. The card sums it up as: "Fix weak verbs, filler words, missing metrics, and other quality issues."

What it fixes
It works from the issues your resume score already flagged rather than looking for its own, which keeps the suggestions tied to problems the checker can point at. Those checks are:
- Weak action verbs
- The same action verb repeated across bullets
- Filler words
- Buzzwords
- First person language
- Bullets with no quantifiable measurements
- Bullets that are too long or too short
- Professional summary length
- Too few bullets on an entry
- Paragraphs that run long
- A summary written as prose where bullets would read better
When your resume score comes back clean in all of these areas there is nothing for the tool to work on, so the card is not clickable and its tooltip reads "No quality issues found. Your resume looks great!"
What it never touches
- Your skills list and your name and contact details.
- The facts. It does not add or remove jobs, education entries, or skill sections, since this is a rewrite of how your work reads, not of what you did.
- Bullet count, unless the checker flagged an entry for having too few bullets. That is the only case where it proposes a new one.
A blocked run never costs credits
On a Free account the Premium check runs before anything is charged, so the card opens your upgrade options rather than starting an optimization and your balance stays where it was.
Where to find it
Open the AI tab in the resume builder's right-hand panel and look under Resume Fixes.
It is the only tool in the panel that works without a scan, so on a resume you have not matched against a job yet, this is the card that is live.
Improve Resume Quality or a job tailoring tool
Run this one when you want your resume to read better wherever you send it, because it works on writing quality rather than on any one posting. Keyword Boost and Full Rewrite are the opposite: they take a specific job and put that job's language into your bullets.
Quality first, tailoring second is usually the better order, since it means you are tailoring wording that already holds up instead of teaching a weak bullet some new vocabulary.
Reviewing what comes back
Each fix is shown against your current wording, one at a time, for you to accept, edit, or reject. If the AI reads the resume and finds nothing to change after all, your credits are returned. See Reviewing AI suggestions.
