Inviting members, and what they see when they join
Sending an invitation takes one email address, one role, and one click. Here is the whole flow, including what lands in the invitee's inbox.
Sending an invitation takes a few seconds and needs one email address, one role, and one click. The person on the other end joins the moment they accept, and their premium access starts there.
Invitations are sent by Owners and Super Coaches, since those are the two roles that manage the roster.
Send the invitation
- Go to Settings, then Team Invites.
- Click Invite Member.
- Type the person's Email.
- Choose a role. It defaults to Member, which is the right choice for a client. See Roles and permissions.
- Click Send Invite.
The invitation then appears in the list below with Invited on and the date, so you can see at a glance who has not responded yet. Each row carries a Cancel button that withdraws the invitation.

What you might see instead
- This user has already been invited to the team. A pending invitation exists for that address, and you will find it in the list on the same page.
- This user is already a member of this team. They accepted an earlier invitation, so no action is needed.
- This user is already a member of another team. A person can belong to only one team at a time, so they have to leave the other one before you can add them.
- Team invitations are disabled because your coach plan subscription is not active. Invitations resume once the plan does. See What happens when a team subscription lapses.
- You are restricted from sending team invitations due to your permissions. Your role is Coach or Member, so ask the owner or a Super Coach to send the invitation for you.
What lands in their inbox
They receive an email with the subject SkillSyncer: Team Invitation that names your team in the opening line and carries an Accept Invitation button.
The email closes by telling anyone who was not expecting it that they can discard the message, so an address typed by mistake costs nobody anything.
What happens when they click Accept
If they already have a SkillSyncer account, they sign in and join in one step. The invitation disappears from your pending list and their account picks up your team's premium access.
If they do not have an account yet, they are sent to registration with their email prefilled, and the invitation is applied as soon as they finish signing up.
If they are already signed in, they do not need the email at all. A dialog appears in the app telling them they have been invited to your team, with Accept and Decline buttons.

The invitation is bound to the address you typed, so someone signed in as a different address gets Your current email doesn't match the invitation email. Capitalization does not matter, but the address itself does.
Invitation links do not expire
An invitation stays valid until it is accepted or canceled, which means a client who takes a week to get to their inbox can still join. It also means an invitation sent to the wrong address stays live, so click Cancel on its row to withdraw it.
Invitees can decline from the in-app dialog as well, which clears the invitation from their side.
What a new member sees
A new member sees their own account with premium unlocked, and nothing else about their setup changes: same resumes, same scan history, same settings.
The one visible difference sits at Settings, then Subscription, which now reads Your team membership provides access to all the premium features. There is no card for them to enter and no plan for them to manage, because the coach plan covers it.
They do not see the team roster, the other members, or your billing. The full boundary is set out in What a coach can and cannot see in a member's account.
Watching for people who have not joined yet
The Team Invitations page lists everything still outstanding, so it is the place to check when a seat has not been taken up. Once someone accepts, they move to Team Members, where the Accepted column shows the date they joined.
An empty invitations page reads No Active Invitations, meaning everyone you invited has either joined or had their invitation canceled.
